Holiday at Oberammergau

Oberammergau, the place of the world-famous Passion plays is situated in the middle of the nature reserve Ammergauer Alpen and offers a symbiosis of nature and culture.

Over 100 km of hiking trails and cycle tracks (bikes are available at the hotel) are inviting to long excursions and rambles, where there is a lot to explore. Those who want to get higher up, climb up to the Kofel or comfortably take the chair lift up to Kolben or the cable railway up to Laber.

In winter it`s only some hundred metres from the hotel to the nearest ski lift. We are an area with snow almost guaranteed. You can do cross-country skiing and the well prepared 50 km of cross-country trails run directly past our hotel. Each year cross-country skiers meet here for the traditionally King-Ludwig-cross-country skiing (König –Ludwig-Skilanglauf).

Visit the royal palaces of Neuschwanstein and Linderhof as well as the monastery of Ettal, it`s all in the near surroundings.
